"Ultrasound transformed my practices." Dr. Hylands spent his 36-year career dedicated to high-quality veterinary care. His passion for improving diagnosis using ultrasound has proven very helpful to his practice, his peers, countless students, and, of course, his patients. Dr. Hylands is an Ontario Veterinary College graduate, and alongside his wife Dr. Cathy Buller, has built three separate clinics and helped thousands of clients. They opened their first small animal practice in 1988, and went on to open one of the first 24-hour hospitals in the area in 1996. It was not long before they opened another successful practice in June 2008. Since his retirement in 2020, Dr. Hylands has been very active in teaching and mentoring other veterinarians in ultrasound imaging, coast-to-coast and around the world.
